Q: Where were you born and raised and how long have you lived here?
A: I was born in Guiria, Venezuela and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. I’ve been in the Washington region for over 21 years now and one of the things I’ve always loved about this area is its diversity. Brambleton is also very international, which definitely makes it a richer, more interesting place to live.
Q: Best insider tip for people who don’t know Brambleton?
A: It’s funny, Brambleton has won so many local and national awards that sometimes I forget that not everyone knows it inside and out. The shops, restaurants and schools may get all the glory but for me the trails are the hidden gem of this community. They wind for miles so you can spend hours hiking, biking, or exploring the wildlife, ponds, fauna and simply reconnecting with nature.
Q: What’s your favorite design feature in The Garden District?
A: Lots of new homes are open and airy, but these townhomes really take it to another level. It starts with the high ceilings, tall windows, and indoor/outdoor living spaces. Even the stairwells are wide and the doors are tall, which make these home feel more like single family designs. And, of course, I’ve always loved Miller & Smith kitchens. I so want one of our infinity islands in my own home.
