Settlement Coordinator

The Sales Contract and Settlement Coordinator is responsible for full cycle settlement preparation. This responsibility includes, but is not limited to, reviewing legal and departmental documentation, and information flow regarding the sale and settlement of homes, HUD-1, and administrative support as required. It is the responsibility of each Miller and Smith team member to perform all job requirements in a manner that exemplifies our Mission Statement and core values.

Education & Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration preferred but not required, or 3-4 years’ equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience in home settlement coordination or in a related industry
  • Proficient computer competency
  • Knowledgeable in MS Software such as MS Office Suite, Excel and Access

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient computer competence, with a knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software
  • Excellent organizational skills; detail orientated and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent time management skills, able to establish priorities and meet deadlines
  • Self motivated; able to work independently with little or no supervision


  • Working knowledge of new home settlement processes and procedures
  • Working knowledge of legal settlement documentation
