Miller & Smith homeowners living in Brambleton or One Loudoun are fortunate to have amazing onsite recreation amenities, either in place or coming soon. Brambleton has lots of shops, restaurants, swimming pools, parks, ball fields, a clubhouse and more. One Loudoun recently welcomed Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, one of the most innovative movie theaters in the country, and will soon be opening Bar Louie, Fresh Market and a host of other shops and restaurants. It’s also the future home of the Loudoun Hounds professional baseball team.
Of course, even with all there is to do in and around these communities, a change in scenery is always refreshing. Located about 30 minutes from Ashburn are The Plains and Middleburg, two quaint towns reminiscent of the lush countryside of Tuscany. Not only are the views breathtaking, there is always something to do, see, drink, and one of Miller & Smith’s favorites…taste!

Girasole, meaning “sunflower” in Italian, is the perfect place to eat dinner after spending a day in the Virginia countryside. Girasole serves Northern Italian cuisine. Start off your evening with a cocktail or a glass of wine paired with an appetizer and warm bread that melts in your mouth. The menu consists of veal, fish, and house made pastas. Using local, organic ingredients, the chef is always creating long lists of seasonal chef specials to add variety to the menu each day. After dinner, a dessert tray is brought to your table to show off the delectable varieties of pastries and gelatos, also made in house. Girasole is featured in Northern Virginia Magazine as one of the top 50 restaurants in Northern Virginia. Brunch is also offered on Sundays. Reservations are recommended.
