Way to go Dave.

We love getting letters from our homeowners. We know how busy people are so whenever someone takes the time to express their appreciation in writing, it means the world to us. Often it’s our Sales Managers who are the subjects of happy testimonials. This stands to reason since they’re the ones who spend the most time with buyers, guiding them through the entire process from first visit to final delivery of their new home. Recently, however, one of our homeowners singled out Dave Downes, a Miller & Smith Construction Superintendent at the Peninsula in Sussex County, Delaware. Dave must have really made an impression because the homeowner’s letter listed eight ways his efforts were appreciated. Here’s a direct quote from the letter: “The following are just some of Dave’s skill sets that we have found invaluable

  • Accurate recommendations for local venders and craftsmen
  • Consistent welcoming attitude always making our needs seem important
  • Excellent communication skills with problem solving and questions
  • Loyalty to employer’s regulations and policies
  • Calm under all situations, no matter how difficult
  • Conscientious about doing things correctly
  • Always willing to listen and follow through on reasonable requests
  • Excellent at putting out fires that the home office is not even aware of”

What a great list of attributes. You can see why we’re so proud to have Dave on our team. If you’re thinking about a vacation home or a great place to retire, be sure to put The Peninsula on your short list. It’s home to world-class amenities like a Jack Nicklaus golf course, fabulous clubhouse, fitness center, multiple pools, tennis courts and more‚ all less than 30 minutes from Rehoboth Beach. Best of all, it’s also where you’ll find Dave Downes hard at work building beautiful Miller & Smith homes like these‚

Time magazine named it the best theater ever. Wired magazine called it the coolest movie theater in the world. And Entertainment Weekly dubbed it “The number one theater in America”. That’s heady praise for the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and exciting news for Miller & Smith homeowners at One Loudoun in Ashburn, Virginia. The Washington region’s very first Alamo is well under construction in One Loudoun, just steps from Miller & Smith’s newest collections of single family homes and townhomes. The 32,000 square foot facility (yes, 32,000) offers a theater experience unlike any place else. The latest movies, great food, adult beverages, lounge areas, and star-studded special events, all under one enormous roof in the heart of Loudoun’s new Downtown.

Residents of One Loudoun don’t have much longer to wait as the Alamo recently announced plans to open in early May. Miller & Smith continues win over homebuyers at One Loudoun with its Downtown Collection of single family homes, currently selling from two stunning decorated models. It’s also seeing huge interest in its Central Park West Collection of Townhomes. Miller & Smith is hosting a VIP Preview Opening on March 9thso if you’re interested in learning more, join the VIP list at CentralParkWest@MillerandSmith.com For more photos and directions to One Loudoun, click here.
