Happy Holidays in the words of a homeowner.

Every year around this time, we design a holiday greeting to send to our homeowners, friends and family. This year, our inspiration came from one of our new homeowners at The Orchard at New Market. We’re proud to say that we get a lot of positive feedback from homeowners, but this particular testimonial stood out for its sheer, well, joy and love.

Words just can’t describe my experience, joy and love for this company. If I could send an article to the newspaper about this company I would.

To this happy homeowner we say, we’re thrilled that your experience with Miller & Smith was so positive and thanks for the inspiration. To all of our other homeowners, friends, family and associates we say, may your homes be filled Joy And Love this holiday season. See you next year : )

Design + Integrity = A Winning Combination

With well over 400 design awards to our name, it would be easy to think that Miller & Smith puts design above all else. There’s no denying that building innovative and imaginative homes is our passion, but our commitment to great design really only tells a piece of the story. Our architects and designers are part of a much larger team of engineers, purchasers, building superintendents, construction crews, sales managers and homeowner support personnel. What has made Miller & Smith so successful for nearly 50 years is that our entire team buys into a common goal. As Doug Smith, President of Miller & Smith put it, we strive to be a builder of quality, both in terms of construction and character. Recently, this common pursuit earned Miller & Smith recognition from the Maryland National Capital Building Industry Association (MNCBIA), which named Miller & Smith the Large Volume Builder Of The Year. Everyone at Miler & Smith should be proud of the hard work and effort that led our peers to present us with the award, added Smith. So while the Miller & Smith name is synonymous with great style and design, it also represents character and integrity‚Äîtwo qualities that give a whole lot of substance to Miller & Smith’s trademark style.

Chicago-inspired design is coming to One Loudoun.

Some builders look to the neighborhood down the street for inspiration. At Miller & Smith, we take a different route. We travel the country and explore the great cities of the world, studying design trends and classic architectural styles that are indigenous to different regions. Using what we learn as a guide and inspiration, we create unique designs that work for homebuyers here in the Washington region. Over the years, Miller & Smith’s homes have been inspired by the architecture and public spaces of Bath, England, the low-country designs of Savannah, Georgia and the open plans and outdoor living spaces popular in Monterey, California and Vero Beach, Florida. Most recently, we brought inspiration from the great city of Chicago to One Loudoun for our newest collection of single family homes with a classic, urban vibe.

<span”>Highlights of our new Downtown Collection include fabulous master suites with sleeping porches, unique patios, lofts, and an available studio over the garage, designer kitchens, great rooms, and over 2,700 square feet of Chicago-inspired design.
